My story

I started in real estate in the late 1980s, and I’ve been doing this ever since. In that time I’ve worked through booms, downturns, record-low inventory, bidding wars, and the quiet markets in between. That perspective is the single most useful thing I bring to my clients — I’ve seen this before, and I know the difference between a market that’s genuinely shifting and one that just feels that way.

Along the way I earned my Associate Broker license, which required additional education and experience beyond a standard real estate license. It means I can handle more complex transactions and that I’ve spent years studying the mechanics of this business, not just practicing it.

How I work

My approach has never been complicated. I listen first. I communicate openly, including when the news isn’t what someone wants to hear. And I make sure my clients have the information they need to make their own confident decisions, rather than pushing them toward mine.

Buying or selling a home is usually tied to something bigger — a growing family, a new job, a loss, a long-planned retirement. The transaction is only part of it. I try to keep the process calm and clear so my clients can focus on the decision itself.

Real estate isn’t really about transactions. It’s about relationships — and most of my business today comes from people I’ve worked with before, or people they sent my way.

Who I work with

I work with a wide range of clients across West Michigan. First-time buyers who need someone patient enough to explain every step. Longtime owners selling a home they raised a family in. Buyers building new construction who want someone in their corner during the builder process. Families relocating, downsizing, or buying land.

I’m also proud to work with military members and veterans, and I’m familiar with the specifics of VA financing and the timelines that come with a service move.

Outside of work

I’m a mom, a fairly committed golfer, and the owner of a dog named Louie who believes every showing should include him. West Michigan has been home for a long time, and I genuinely like living here — the lakes, the neighborhoods, the fact that you can be downtown and then twenty minutes into open country.

That’s also part of what makes me useful. When someone asks what a neighborhood is actually like, I don’t have to guess.

There’s no pressure and no obligation — sometimes the most useful first step is just a conversation about what your options actually look like.
